Woman hits out at failure to diagnose mother's bone cancer

A woman whose mother was diagnosed with bone cancer just a couple of months after being told she was suffering from 'wear and tear' says she feels robbed.

The woman, who wants to remain anonymous, is now waiting to hear if her mother's case is one of the 58,000 whose X-rays were not read by any consultant radiologist at Tallaght hospital.

After her initial diagnosis of "wear and tear" on her spine, the pain got worse, and she collapsed, only to be diagnosed with extensive bone cancer.
