Woman drowns scattering sister’s ashes

A woman has drowned after falling into the sea of the coast of Co. Galway.

A woman has drowned after falling into the sea of the coast of Co. Galway.

The woman who was in her 40's was scattering her dead sister's ashes off the Connemara coastline when she was swept into the water yesterday afternoon.

The tragedy has prompted the Irish Coast Guard to issue a warning to anyone out walking this weekend, to avoid exposed costal areas.
