A woman in her 20's has been killed in a two car crash in Co. Longford.

A woman in her 20's has been killed in a two car crash in Co. Longford.

The accident happened at around 6.10pm at Curry, Kenagh on the main Longford to Athlone Road.

The woman was the driver and only occupant of the car which collided with a pick-up truck.

The driver and two passengers in the truck were also injured and they have been taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar where their condition is unknown.

The road at the scene remains closed pending an examination of the area by Garda forensic collision investigators.
