Woman dies in Cavan road accident
A woman has died in a crash in Co Cavan this morning.
It happened in the early hours of this morning on the road from Crosskeys to Ballyjamesduff Road, one kilometre on the Ballyjamesduff side of Crosskeys after her car left the road.
The woman - aged in her late 20s - was the sole occupant of the car.
Gardaí were alerted to the collision at around 7.30am this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to the mortuary at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Navan.
The road remains closed and diversions are in place.
