Woman dies after being hit by car in Cork
29/12/2008 - 09:56:04An 80-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car while crossing a road in Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.
The accident happened at Little Island in Rosscarbery at around 12.30am.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene before her body was taken to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem examination later today.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was not injured in the collision.
