Wexford: Teenager killed, two swim to shore as car crashes into water

One teenager has died after the car he was in collided with a wall and entered the sea at Courtown Harbour in Co Wexford. Two other people, who were also in the car, managed to swim to shore.
At around 10.30pm last night, the car crashed through one of the walls at Courtown Harbour and went into the water.
The alarm was raised and Courtown Lifeboat launched a search operation.
There were three teenage boys in the car. Two managed to swim to the shore to safety.
However, the body of a 19-year-old man was later recovered from the sea by the coastguard and emergency services.
His body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination is due to take place later.
Gardaí in Gorey are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
