Dublin has seen the announcement of another 35 new jobs this morning.
The latest announcement will see the new posts at the European office of money transfer company Western Union in Clonskeagh in Dublin.
Earlier 30 new jobs were announced at Datalogic ADC, a shared services and customer management centre in the capital.
In Galway, 80 new high-tech jobs are on the way at cloud computing firm, SourceDogg.com.
Western Union's announcement takes their workforce to almost 100 at its European office in Clonskeagh.
Lucinda Creighton, minister for European affairs, said: “The Taoiseach has said that he wants to make Ireland the best small country in the world to do business in and this goal is fully supported by me and all my colleagues in Government.
“I believe that the decision of a major global corporation such as Western Union to locate an additional 35 jobs in Clonskeagh is a clear indication of the success this Government has had so far in rehabilitating Ireland’s international reputation after the difficulties of recent years.”
Tim Keane, Western Union managing director, Ireland, said: “Western Union hopes to be in Clonskeagh for many years to come and aims to contribute to Ireland’s economic recovery and future success in whatever way it can.”
