Wedding disrupted by hoax at Cork hotel

Up to 300 wedding guests were evacuated from a Cork hotel last night after a suspect device was found at the premises.

The army bomb disposal team sealed off an area at the Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig shortly after 9pm, but on further examination the device was deemed a hoax.

The guests were allowed back in to the hotel at around 11pm.

Gardaí are now examining CCTV footage from the hotel as the investigation continues.
