Waterford gardaí upgrade investigation to murder
Gardaí in Waterford city are appealing for information about the murder of a 22-year-old man.
Martin Brophy's body was found at a vacant building on New Gate Street on Monday evening.
The Garda investigation into his death was upgraded to murder last night, after a post-mortem showed he had been assaulted.
Mr Brophy was last seen alive in the Poleberry area of Waterford city last Saturday.
