Water restrictions in Dublin could continue into next week
Dublin City Council reports its water restrictions are not working as well as they had hoped, and it may now be well into next week before normal service resumes.
More than 1.5 million people across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow are affected by the restrictions, which aimed to conserve water use because of a shortage caused by problems at a water treatment plant.
The restrictions had been scheduled to end on Monday. The City Council now says, however, that target may not be met.
