Vita Cortex workers to feature in film

The Vita Cortex protestors are hitting the big screen.

The 32 former workers of the Cork foam factory staged a 161-day sit-in protest at the plant earlier this year, as they fought for redundancy payments.

Among their supporters were Alex Ferguson, Cillian Murphy and philosopher Noam Chomsky.

Now a documentary film '161 days - The Vita Cortex Workers' Struggle' will premiere at the Cork Film Festival next month.

It was filmed by Declan O'Connell and produced by his son, Barra.
