Dublin Fire Brigade say there was no one injured during a gorse fire at Threerock Mountain last night.

Five fire units and a water tanker were sent to the scene near Barnacullia where they brought the blaze under control in the early hours.

It was a particularly busy night for the fire services, having also sent six units to deal with a waste fire in the Ballycoolin area.

Staff from Rathfarnham and Dolphin's Barn extinguished two empty buses which caught alight off the Blessington Road.
