Fine Gael front bench TD Leo Varadkar has said if past form is anything to go by, Ministers will use their last few weeks in office to fill State boards and other bodies with political party supporters and "cronies".

He is tabling a Dáil motion on the issue and said if Fianna Fáil and the Greens wish to remain credible in the eyes of the electorate, they should support it.
