Varadkar slams 'nonsense of strike threats' at Aer Lingus

The Transport Minister Leo Varadkar says the public is "sick" of strike threats at Aer Lingus.

The minister is accusing unions at the airline of "megaphone diplomacy".

Mr Varadkar was responding to IMPACT's warning that work stoppages over "unfair" rostering are "very likely" to take place this summer.

It is the third major threat of industrial action at the airline in recent months.

Mr Varadkar says he is "sick" of the public disputes and he wants it resolved immediately.
