Transport and Tourism Minister Leo Varadkar has said it would be appropriate for the Oireachtas Finance Committee to call in officials from NAMA.
Minister Varadkar says the committee could ask them the "hard questions" in relation to allegations that two former employees leaked sensitive information.
A garda investigation is underway into the allegations, which came to light after a solicitors' firm made a complaint to gardaí on behalf of a client in August.
Minister Varadkar is denying any complacency on the Government's behalf on the issue:
"What would usually happen is either there'd be an internal investigation or an external would be brought in to investigate," he said.
"Or another thing that could happen is that the (Oireachtas) Finance Committee, for example, could call them in and ask them hard questions.
"I think it'd be appropriate" he added.
