The USI launches its safe sex awareness campaign today.

The 'SHAG' campaign will see 45,000 packs containing free condoms handed out to students around the country.

A sex education roadshow will also tour the country teaching students about contraception and the prevention of STIs.

Deputy President of the Union of Students in Ireland, Denise McCarthy, says it is important to teach young people how to use condoms properly.
