Up to 80,000 expected for final Eucharistic Congress Mass


Road users are being advised that there will be significant traffic restrictions around Croke Park in Dublin today for the closing ceremony of the Eucharistic Congress.

More than 80,000 people are due to attend the closing ceremony of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress from 1pm today.

A recorded message from Pope Benedict will be played during the Statio Orbis, the final Mass of the eight-day event.

Superintendent Kevin Gralton is from Mountjoy Garda Station said the North Circular Road from Dorset Street to Ballybough/Summerhill junction would be closed to traffic.
