Unions say they will meet with Lufthansa Technik workers after Christmas to discuss whether they will accept the redundancy deal offered by the company

The company announced yesterday morning that it is to close its plant in Rathcoole with the loss of over 400 jobs.

Unions say they are unhappy with the level of redundancy being offered, and the lack of staff consultation.

The Technical Engineering and Electrical Union has criticised the company for giving staff just two months' notice.
