SIPTU is calling on management at Bose to reconsider their decision to close the county Monaghan-based plant - with the loss of around 140 jobs.
Last week, the headphone and stereo giant announced the move as part of a worldwide cost-cutting programme.
The firms operations will transfer to Bose facilities in Malaysia and Mexico.
Senior managers from the US-based company are due to meet with SIPTU representatives in Carrickmacross later to discuss the threatened closure.
"This will be the first time that we'll have had a chance to speak to senior management from the US HQ of the company," said SITPU organiser, Jim McVeigh.
"The director of human resources is over, we're meeting him at 2.30pm in the factory."
