Union meet to review public sector work-to-rule

The union representing lower paid civil servants will today review and assess its campaign against public-sector pay cuts.

Members of the Civil Public and Services Union will attend a conference in Dublin to discuss the union's ongoing campaign and industrial action.

The CPSU is participating in a work-to-rule by public servants which came into effect yesterday.

The union says it will escalate the action if the Government does not reconsider the way it has implemented cuts in public-sector pay.
