Ulster Bank system 'still not fixed'01/07/2012 - 10:37:12
It looks likely that the Ulster Bank crisis is heading into another week, with no clear resolution in sight for the up to 150,000 customers affected.
Technical difficulties continued to plague the bank yesterday as it attempts to clear a massive back-log in payments.
Many people have complained that their salaries are still not showing up on their accounts.
According to the Sunday Independent, Ulster Bank's managing director Stephen Cruise has admitted that the crashed system will not be up and running by tomorrow. Instead, it may be the middle of next week before all services are back to normal.
Twenty-two branches of the bank will be open between 10am and 1pm today to assist customers, who are asked to bring their passport or driver's licence with them for identification purposes.
