Two sides to meet in Aer Lingus dispute

Representatives of Aer Lingus and IMPACT will meet at the Labour Relations Commission later today.

It comes after cabin crew voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action in a dispute over rosters and the closure of the cabin crew base at Shannon.

The airline had originally planned to expand the Shannon facility, but cited a refusal by staff to work new aircraft on transatlantic routes.

The IMPACT union said Aer Lingus management is unwilling to address concerns of cabin crew through the normal industrial relations channels and as a result, the staff have voted in favour of industrial action.
