Two one-day Aer Lingus strikes planned

Further industrial action at Aer Lingus is looming for the month ahead.

Last night talks between union IMPACT and management at the company over cabin crew rosters broke down.

June 16 and 18 are the dates given by the union for one-day strikes.

"As always, strike action is a last resort," said IMPACT spokesperson Micheal Landers.

"What we have said is that we are available to talk to them at any time, including over this weekend. All they have to do is phone and call us in.

He claimed the company refused to talk further or to clarify their intentions.
