Four people have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Dublin last weekend which has left a man in a serious condition in hospital.

Four people have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Dublin last weekend which has left a man in a serious condition in hospital.

The assault happened at Lamb Alley in Dublin 8 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man in his 20s was found with head injuries. He was taken to St James Hospital and subsequently Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Two men and two women, all in their 20s, were arrested this morning and are being held at Irishtown, Pearse Street, Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations.
