At around 12.30pm this afternoon two men, believed to be aged in their 30s and 50s, were seriously injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a wall.

They were taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital.

Three other occupants of the car, all men in their late teens and 20s, were also taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Gardaí have advised that road is closed and traffic diversions are in place while a forensic exam is carried out.
