Two killed in Limerick crash

Two people are dead following a head-on collision on the main N21 in Co Limerick this afternoon.

Two people are dead following a head-on collision on the main N21 in Co Limerick this afternoon.

At least three more are reportedly injured following the crash which happened near a filling station at Coolanoran between Newcastle West and Rathkeale at around 1.30pm.

The injured were taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road was closed between Rathkeale and Newcastle West until further notice as Gardaí conduct a full investigation.
