Two killed in Dublin road accidents

A man and a woman were killed in two separate road accidents in Dublin, gardaí confirmed tonight.

A woman in her 50’s died after she was hit by a truck in the north of the city at around 11.00am.

The accident happened on the New cabra Road, and gardaí at Mountjoy are investigating.

Meanwhile, a 70-year-old man was killed in a road accident in the north inner city. The pensioner was struck by a bus at the junction of North Circular Road and Summerhill.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses.
