Two people, a man and a woman, have been arrested in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Waterford earlier this week.

Two people, a man and a woman, have been arrested in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Waterford earlier this week.

The discovery was made during the search of a house at Kilnafrehan East in Dungarvan on Monday.

110 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €250,000 were discovered by officers.

A 55-year-old woman and a man aged 54 were arrested at the scene and they are currently being detained at Dungarvan Garda Station.

The raid is part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Dungarvan area.
