Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery at a Dublin service station yesterday evening.

Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery at a Dublin service station yesterday evening.

It happened on the Stillorgan road in Blackrock at 6.25pm when two men entered the premises, threatened staff and demanded money.

One was armed with a gun and the other had a hammer.

They left the scene in a car with a sum of cash.

Gardaí say two males were later arrested on the Lower Kilmacud Road and taken to Blackrock garda station for questioning.

An amount of money has also been recovered.
