Two fishermen have been airlifted to Kerry General Hospital this afternoon after falling ill on separate fishing trawlers.
The first call came from a French vessel 130 miles west of Valentia Island.
The helicopter was forced to divert from the first emergency to deal with a second, more serious, incident as it returned to Shannon.
This call came from a UK-registered trawler located 14 miles south of Castletownbere.
Both men received treatment at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.
