Two men will appear in court tonight charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis grow house in Co Tipperary.

Two men will appear in court tonight charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis grow house in Co Tipperary.

More than 1,000 were discovered during the search in New Inn on Friday morning, before officers raided a second premises used to dry the drugs.

Cannabis herb and a shotgun were also seized.

It's thought the plants could have a street-value of up to €700,000.

The two men are due to appear before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court at 10pm tonight.

A third man arrested was released without charge.
