Two dead in separate road crashes
Gardaí are investigating two separate fatal road accidents that occurred in Roscommon and Cork.
In Co Roscommon, a man died after his tractor was in a collision with a goods train operating along the Westport to Dublin line at 7am this morning.
The train driver is being treated for shock and the railway line is currently closed.
Meanwhile, gardaí are also investigating a fatal road crash in Co Cork in which a woman lost her life.
The incident happened last night at Coracunna, Mitchelstown.
The woman was found collapsed beside her bicycle at 8.30pm.
Gardaí performed CPR but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
