Gardaí have formally upgraded their inquiry into the death of a Brazilian man in Kerry to murder.

The decision to upgrade the inquiry into the death of 28 year-old Bruno da Souza Silva, follows the completion of a post mortem examination.

The post mortem found that Mr de Souza Silva whose body was found in bogland near Ballylongford in North Kerry yesterday had suffered a violent death.

Gardaí have tonight charged two men in connection with his death.

The 19 and 28 year-old men will be brought before Newcastle West District Court tomorrow morning.
