An Investigation has been launched following the discovery of the remains of two people in County Wexford.

The bodies of the man and woman were found in a house near Enniscorthy last evening.

At about 4.30pm yesterday afternoon Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of two bodies in Clonroche Village.

The man and woman were found in the upstairs bedroom of a home in the Woodlands Estate in the village, just a few miles from Enniscorthy town.

Their remains have been removed to Waterford University Hospital where post mortem examinations will be carried out today.

It is understood the couple were both from the Enniscorthy area.

Gardaí are not treating the deaths of the man in his 20s and woman in her 30's as suspicious.
