Two arrests after Carlow cocaine seizure


Gardaí in Carlow have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €120,000 and made two arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and distribution of illegal drugs throughout the South East.

Last night Gardai carried out a planned search of a house in the New Oak Estate in Carlow and a house in Pollerton, Carlow. Cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €120,000 (pending analysis) was recovered and a woman in her 30s and a male in his 40s were arrested.

They are both currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Carlow Garda Station.
