Two arrested in Longford drug seizure
Gardaí have arrested two men following a drugs seizure in county Longford.
Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €40,000 was discovered following the planned search of a premises in Newtownforbes at around 9pm last night.
Two men, aged 31 and 29, were arrested.
The 31-year-old remains in Garda custody under section two of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act. The 29-year-old man was released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
