Two arrested after police injured in flag riots

Two people have been held in the North overnight, after eight police officers were injured during a protest in east Belfast.

A crowd of more than 100 Loyalists threw petrol bombs and missiles at police.

They were demonstrating against the decision to restrict the number of days the British union flag is flown over Belfast City Hall.

One police officer was taken to hospital but was discharged last night.
