Two arrested after gardaí recover firearm in Cork
Gardaí have arrested two men following the recovery of a firearm in Co Cork yesterday evening.
The firearm was recovered at a wooded area at Leamlara, Watergrasshill, as a result of an operation by Cobh gardaí targeting dissident republican activity.
Two men aged 32 and 45 were arrested nearby and are being detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Cobh Garda Station.
