Three people arrested earlier in connection with alleged animal cruelty have been released without charge.

Three people arrested earlier in connection with alleged animal cruelty have been released without charge.

A man and two women were detained as part of an investigation into animal cruelty at a farm in Carlow.

351 dogs and 11 horses were taken from the property by the Gardaí, Carlow County Council and the ISPCA.

Investigations are continuing and a file will be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
