Trinity survey: Ireland 'one of world's happiest' countries

A new survey shows Ireand is one of the happiest countries in the world.

Researchers at Trinity College Dublin questioned 3,300 people around the country over a six-week period.

The study put the average person's happiness - on a scale of one to ten - at 6.8.

It also highlighted strong links between a person's health and their happiness level - as well as their feelings on whether Government decisions are fair and accountable.
