GAA fans have gathered in Dublin to welcome home the 2015 All Ireland Football Champions.

Large crowds have turned out to welcome Sam Maguire back to the capital after Dublin overcame Kerry 0-12 to 0-09 in Croke Park yesterday.

Motorists are advised traffic restrictions will be in place around O'Connell Street during the event.

People are being advised to use public transport where possible.

Adrian Harmon is a broadcaster with AA Roadwatch: "People attending the event are advised to use public transport where possible.

"Keep in mind Dublin Bus will be operating diversions to a number of routes around O’Connell Street and full details are found on their website.

"With regards to the Luas red line, services are expected to run between the Point and the Tallaght stops throughout the evening, however some delays can be expected."
