The funeral takes place in Dublin this morning of Tom O'Gorman, who was found dead at his home in Castleknock in the early hours of Sunday, January 12.
Hundreds of people attended his removal service at Our Lady Mother of the Church in Castleknock yesterday evening.
Mr O'Gorman was involved in a number of Catholic groups and campaigns and worked as a researcher for the Iona Institute.
His lodger, 34-year-old Saverio Bellante, who is originally from Palermo in Sicily, has been charged with his murder.
This morning's Requiem Mass (starts 11.30am) will be followed by his burial in Castleknock Churchyard.
