Time a great healer? It's not, says Adrian Donohoe's friend, one year on
A friend of murdered garda Adrian Donohoe has said time stopped in his local community on the day Adrian died.
The 41-year-old was shot dead by an armed gang of raiders outside the Lordship Credit Union in Co Louth in January 2013.
One year on, no arrests have been made.
The Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan will provide an update on the investigation later today.
Adrian's good friend and chairman of the local Saint Patrick's GAA club Alan Duffy said he had not found that time is the great healer that people claim.
"They say time is a great healer, but it's not...A year doesn't seem to be a year. It's just like last week that Adrian was taken from us, from his family and his community.
"I've said before that he was very important to us. He still remains very important to us."
