Three to appear in court in connection with machete incident at Ennis school

One man and two women in their 20s are due to appear at Ennis District Court this morning at 10.30am, charged in relation to an incident at a school in the town yesterday.

One man and two women in their 20s are due to appear at Ennis District Court this morning at 10.30am, charged in relation to an incident at a school in the town yesterday.

Two men, two women and a teenaged boy were arrested after an incident in which a man was chased through a national school by masked men wielding a machete.

The incident happened at the Holy Family Junior School in Ennis at lunchtime yesterday.

A man who was waiting to collect a child had his car windows smashed and was chased by a gang before escaping through a classroom.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
