Three arrested in connection with foiled cash van raid
05/11/2009 - 10:59:13Gardaí have today arrested three men in connection with a suspected attempt to rob a cash-in-transit van.
Gardaí from the organised crime unit and the emergency response unit swooped on a stolen van near a hotel in Johnstownbridge, Co Kildare at about 9am this morning.
A second stolen vehicle - a car - was recovered nearby.
The suspects are in their 20s and 30s.
One is being questioned at Leixlip garda station - the other two are detained in Naas.
