Two thousand homes around the country are without power this morning because of stormy weather and strong winds overnight.
ESB Network crews are working to restore electricity to homes, mainly in the Cork and Kerry area.
A number of homes were without power in Oughterard in Co Galway, but it has now been restored.
Meanwhile, drivers are being warned to take care on the roads.
The AA says wind-blown debris is likely to be a problem, particularly on minor and secondary routes.
