Thousands expected to attend careers exhibition

Organisers of Career Zoo are expecting to set a new attendence record at this year's event.

The free exhibition takes place at the Convention Centre Dublin tomorrow, from 10am to 5pm.

As of Thursday, more than 10,000 professionals and graduates had registered to attend the event, a record number, with many more expected to attend on the day.

Career Zoo is aimed at hiring qualified professionals and graduates for jobs in this country with over 100 Irish and international organisations offering jobs.

Major multinational employers are in attendance including Kerry Group, TripAdvisor, Symantec, AOL, Fidelity Investments, Johnson & Johnson, Pramerica, SIG (Susquehanna International Group) and State Street.

There will also be a Foosball Tournament at the ServiceSource stand, a 3D printer and 'Mind Ball from the Science Gallery' and free samples to be tasted or added to coffee at the Kerry Group stand.

‘Tech Town’, a dedicated space to showcase Irish technology, will feature for the first time at Career Zoo.

Visitors will also be able to attend career workshops and seminars by industry leaders, talk to top course providers about professional courses, get one-to-one advice at the Career Clinic.

Talks will include Dr. Joseph Roche who is the only Irish person to make the shortlist for the ‘one-way’ Mission to Mars.
