The Boeing 767 which has been sailing the coast of Ireland is waiting to land in Sligo

A Boeing 767 is still waiting for permission to land on the coast of County Sligo this morning.

The decommissioned passenger jet's nearly at the end of its epic sea journey from Shannon airport to its new home at a glamping site in Eniscrone.

Sea conditions meant this morning's planned landing had to be put off until this evening.

The project - which has sparked the "Plane Sailing" hashtag - is the brain-child of local entrepreneur and undertaker David McGowan.
