Further tests will be carried out to determine the cause of death of a man who died in hospital almost a week after an altercation with a number of youths in Co Louth.
Deepak Abbi, 53, died in Beaumont Hospital on Tuesday after the incident in Drogheda last Thursday afternoon.
It is understood that Mr Abbi, an architect with an office in Bessexwell Lane in Drogheda, was pushed up against a wall and fell to the ground after he asked three teenagers to move away from his premises.
He told gardaí at the scene that he did not want to make a complaint and was not hurt.
However, he collapsed in his home on Sunday afternoon and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he died on Tuesday afternoon.
A post mortem examination has proved inconclusive and the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has ordered that more tests be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Tributes have been paid to the father-of-three, who has been described as a gentleman by locals.
