Tesco denies reacting slowly to horsemeat scandal


Tesco has denied it was slow to respond to the horsemeat scandal.

The supermarket's chief executive, Philip Clarke, has given his first interview since horsemeat was found in its burgers.

He said Tesco is now increasing its number of domestic meat suppliers.

Tesco is reducing the number of foreign meat suppliers it works with in response to the horsemeat scandal.
